Terms of Service

TravelGuideConnect (travelguideconnect.com) is an online marketplace connecting users with independent service providers, businesses, stores, and drivers.

We are a technology platform, not a travel agency, tour operator, employer, transportation company, insurer, payment processor, or merchant of record. Unless we expressly say otherwise, any service, booking, order, transport arrangement, or sale listed on the platform is offered by an independent third party.

By creating an account or using any part of the platform, you confirm you are at least 18 years old and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

• You must provide accurate information when registering.
• You are responsible for all activity under your account.
• Keep your password secure and do not share your credentials.
• You must promptly notify us if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
• You may request account deletion by emailing info@travelguideconnect.com. We will delete your data within 30 days unless retention is required by law.

Users and providers communicate through the platform's direct messaging system. Messages may be stored and reviewed to enable the service, investigate safety incidents, and moderate for policy violations. See our Community Standards for conduct expectations.

Booking requests are coordinated through the platform. The agreement for services is solely between the user and the provider, and each party is responsible for confirming availability, pricing, meeting points, accessibility, special requirements, and cancellation terms.

TravelGuideConnect does not process or facilitate financial transactions. Payments are arranged directly between users and providers. See our Cancellation Policy.

Because we are not the payment processor or merchant of record, chargebacks, payment disputes, refunds, tips, taxes, invoices, and payout timing are handled between the parties involved unless a separate written platform policy says otherwise.

TravelGuideConnect:

• May review submissions and verification materials, but does not guarantee identity, licensing, insurance, legality, safety, quality, or fitness for purpose.
• Is not responsible for the conduct, omissions, products, pricing, or performance of any user, provider, driver, store, or business.
• Cannot guarantee the accuracy of provider profile information.
• Does not supervise or monitor tours, transportation services, deliveries, or in-person transactions.

Use of the platform is at your own risk. Exercise personal judgment at all times.

Reviews must be honest and based on your direct experience. No fake, defamatory, or incentivized reviews. We may remove content violating these Terms without notice.

Platform administrators may send broadcast messages for updates, safety notices, or policy changes. These are one-way communications and replies are not monitored.

You may not use TravelGuideConnect to:

• Engage in any illegal activity.
• Harass, threaten, or harm other users.
• Post false, misleading, or deceptive content.
• Spam other users through the messaging system.
• Impersonate another person or submit false verification documents.
• Upload content you do not have the right to use.
• Offer regulated, unsafe, prohibited, or unlawful products or services.
• Scrape or redistribute platform content without permission.

Providers, businesses, and drivers are solely responsible for complying with all local laws, tax rules, licensing requirements, insurance obligations, safety rules, advertising standards, and consumer protection laws that apply to their listings and services.

Any verification badge, onboarding review, or document request provided by TravelGuideConnect is only a platform control measure and is not a certification, guarantee, or legal approval.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TravelGuideConnect is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the platform or from interactions with any provider, driver, merchant, business, or other user, including personal injury, property damage, travel losses, order issues, delays, cancellations, fraud, or service quality disputes.

If your use of the platform, your listings, your content, or your conduct causes a claim, investigation, fine, loss, or dispute, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold TravelGuideConnect harmless to the fullest extent permitted by law.

The TravelGuideConnect name, logo, and platform design are our intellectual property. Provider profile content belongs to the respective provider. You may not reproduce our trademarks without written permission.

TravelGuideConnect enables local businesses and stores to list their products and services. Business accounts are subject to the following:

• Businesses must provide accurate registration information and keep listings up to date.
• Product descriptions, prices, and availability must be truthful and current.
• Listed businesses are independently owned and operated — TravelGuideConnect does not control inventory, pricing, or hours of operation.
• Businesses must verify their identity and may be required to submit business registration documents.
• We reserve the right to remove listings that are fraudulent, misleading, or repeatedly reported by users.

The platform provides a cart and checkout system for products and services listed by businesses.

• Orders placed through the platform are agreements between the buyer and the business.
• TravelGuideConnect facilitates the order but does not guarantee fulfillment, delivery, or product quality.
• Prices shown at checkout include any applicable fees or taxes as set by the business.
• Order cancellations and refunds are handled per our Cancellation Policy.
• We may store cart and order data to improve your experience and facilitate disputes.

All photos, images, and content uploaded to TravelGuideConnect must comply with the following:

• No copyrighted material: Do not upload photos containing logos, watermarks, or branding from other businesses without permission. This includes downloading branded images from the internet.
• Original or royalty-free only: Use your own original photos or download high-quality, logo-free images from royalty-free sources.
• Accurate representation: Photos must accurately represent the service, product, or business being listed. Misleading imagery may result in listing removal.
• Appropriate content: No offensive, obscene, violent, or illegal content.
• We may remove any content that violates these guidelines and may suspend accounts with repeated violations.

We may suspend or permanently remove any account that violates these Terms, poses a safety risk, or engages in fraudulent behavior, without prior notice when circumstances require it.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by in-app message or email. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Jamaica. Disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Jamaica.
