Our Safety Commitment

TravelGuideConnect is a marketplace connecting users with independent services and drivers. We work hard to create a trustworthy platform, but as an intermediary we are not present during tours or interactions. This page explains what we do and what we recommend to help you stay safe.

Before You Book: User Tips

Read all reviews carefully before booking. Look for patterns in feedback.
Communicate through TravelGuideConnect messaging before sharing personal contact details.
Check the provider's profile thoroughly - photos, services, stated experience, and response history.
Share your itinerary with a trusted contact before departing.
Save local emergency numbers and your accommodation's contact in advance.
Arrange pickup in a public, visible location.

During Your Tour

Keep your phone charged and on you at all times.
Do not leave valuables unattended or in a provider's vehicle.
Agree on pricing before the tour begins. Do not carry large amounts of cash.
If you feel unsafe at any point, trust your instincts and remove yourself from the situation.
In any emergency, call local emergency services immediately using the numbers above.

Message and Platform Safety

Never share passwords, financial details, or sensitive personal information through the messaging system.
Be cautious of anyone asking to move communication off-platform before a booking is confirmed.
If you receive suspicious or inappropriate messages, contact us at info@travelguideconnect.com.
Admin broadcast messages are sent by verified platform staff only. We will never ask for your password or payment details via message.

Our Platform Limitations

We want to be transparent about what we do not do:

We do not conduct background checks on providers or drivers.
We do not verify driving licences or tour provider licences.
We do not supervise or monitor tours in real time.
We are not responsible for accidents, injuries, theft, or harm that occurs during services arranged through the platform.

Use of TravelGuideConnect is at your own risk. Purchase travel insurance before your trip.

For Providers and Drivers

All providers and drivers on the platform are expected to:

Be punctual and communicate clearly with users before and during tours.
Set and honour agreed-upon pricing before tours begin.
Respect user boundaries and conduct yourselves professionally at all times.
Report any safety concerns or incidents via the platform or by email.

Guides found to have violated safety or Community Standards may have their accounts suspended or removed without notice.

Stores and Business Safety

When ordering from or visiting stores and businesses listed on TravelGuideConnect:

Verify business hours and availability before visiting in person.
For food orders, check for any allergies or dietary restrictions with the business directly.
TravelGuideConnect does not inspect food preparation, product quality, or store premises.
Report any food safety or health concerns to local health authorities and to us.
Meet in public, well-lit areas when picking up orders from individuals or small vendors.
